Found this to be a great product. It was supportive and still left room for my 3yr. Only complaint would be that my 9 mon old is 20lbs & really long so we had to remove it. She prefers being in it to just sitting in the seat, which is not a supportive for her on those bumpy trails.

I agree with Brad. I'm incredibly careful with my daughter, and we've had her in the sling since she was 2 months old. She would fall asleep instantly, even if we were cycling on unpaved roads. I'm sure we're not supposed to condone such behavior but it's true. One negative comment is the difficulty of installation. Otherwise once it's in...it's great!

for all you parents wondering what happened to you as you itch to get out of the house in search for a glimpse of normalcy you NEED this contraption. assembly is a snap and we've had our daughter in it since she was 3 weeks old and it provides her a seemingly safe ride. yes, it is annoying how much the chariot costs in the first place and then pay that much more for EVERY additional part (which frequently are not sold in stores and you must go through a retailer and then chariot to locate and obtain ... i.e. like us, i hope you did not misplace the shoulder harness for child #2). while i would never give advice on contentious parenting issues (breastfeeding, cloth diapers, organics, pacifiers, blah blah) i do feel inclined to comment on strollers. by mistake we have a stroller inventory ~ $2k (a large piece is the chariot). this stroller allows a smooth ride, easy push, storage, and MOST importantly freedom. speaking of retailers, joggingstroller.com also sponsors tricyclekids.com another great site as you surely realize taking kids to a retailer is pleasant if avoidable. their selection is great, ship time fabulous, and when you have a question or problem you can call and get a live, pleasant person.

Ok... I know the manual says you shouldn't ride (only walk) with your baby in this, but from what I hear, that's only because they can't wear a helmet, and the fact that we're in a litigious society. We literally had our daughter riding with this from about 2 months until she was 16 months old. Not a single problem, she was totally snuggled up and comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with a baby getting a trailer. We even tipped over the trailer sideways to see if there would be an issue, we felt totally safe. There was plenty of room for my son to sit next to her as well.
