Burley Rover Pet Trailer

The 2008 Rover and Tail Wagon dog bike trailers were completely redesigned to create more space and raise the weight capacity. These enhancements make for an even burlier Burley dog trailer, appropriate for medium to large dogs.

As versatile as it is attractive, the Rover converts to a pet stroller with the optional Stroller Kit. The functionally identical Burley Tail Wagon trailer includes:

Convenience Features of the Burley Rover

The fully enclosed and aerodynamic frame, 35" x 35" suspension floor, and 16" wheels of the Burley Rover provide the ideal means of transporting your dog (or cargo) during bicycle trips long or short. Designed to hitch up quickly and get you and your dog on the road, the Rover's easy folding mechanism and quick release wheels allow you to stash this pet trailer swiftly when the tour has ended.  

The Rover's plastic floor is suspended (for your dog's comfort) and removable (for your convenience) when cleaning up.  

Comfort and Safety Features

The Burley Rover dog trailer has a unique wheel configuration, with the axle set at the rear of the trailer and the plastic floor suspended above it. This creates a better weight dispersal during take-off, so that your dog is not as jarred while you accelerate. All four sides of the Rover are ventilated to keep your dog cool and comfortable, and the brightly colored drum-tight fabrics are striped with reflective materials for safety on night rides.

The Rover's padded handle bar and parking brake are necessities if you plan to use this dog trailer as a pet stroller.    

Comparison

The Burley Tail Wagon is identical to the Rover pet trailer, but the Tail Wagon includes a strolling kit and accessories (see above). The DoggyRide Novel is a another canine bike trailer with a plastic bottom that is excellent for hauling larger dogs, since it has a weight capacity of 120 lbs.
