My sweet husband bought this for me yesterday.... I have used it all day at a horse show, and tonight with with my son who is 1 1/2yo and 22 lbs, And my niece 2 1/2yo and 36lbs. They had plenty of room, we actually stored things at their feet! I think two kids can fit very comfortably. Hope this helps. Our family loves it.

the best money can buy

We shopped for a long time online, looking for the best quality running/biking stroller. We were tempted by less expensive ones, and stalled by the pros and cons we recognized in the widely-ranging features offered by each stroller. Fortunately, our search led us to the Baby Jogger Switchback, and we were hooked immediately by its hybrid feature. Despite its pricier tag, it has proved to be well worth the money. We know a lot of people who've tried to save money on bike trailers or joggers and ended up with an inferior product and performance. The Switchback is a solid, smart bike trailer, easily assembled and useable by both my 5' 2" wife and me, 6'3", due to the adjustable handlebar. Every time we take it out, we're glad we paid more for such a superior product. We've had it for 3 years and have nothing but praise for its use as a jogger or bike trailer.

Great hybrid stroller

This stroller is perfect for what we were looking for - an easy jogging stroller and bike trailer to use around the neighborhood that we can also use for two kids in the future. VERY easy to set up, and our 18 month old loves the ride. Handles curbs and grassy trails very well. Good ventilation and visibility for the rider. We haven't tried it with 2 kids yet, but it looks like it might be a pretty cozy fit. It does fit through a doorway, although you have to be perfectly lined up to make it. Easy to fold to store out of the way, although we use it so much that we just leave it parked in the carport.

Great idea, but could be improved

My wife and I have four children, who are at this time all under the age of 2-1/2 years old (a 2 year-old, one year-old and infant twins).
Before purchasing the Switchback we already owned the BOB Revolution single, the BOB Revolution Duallie, the Phil and Ted's Sport with Double and a Maclaren Quest single. We highly recommend all of these strollers (each stollers has a specialized role in our lives). We bought the Switchback because we wanted to be able to take more than one child cycling; and we wanted to run as a family of six (one parent pushes two children in the BOB Revolution Dualie and the other pushes two children in the Switchback).
I tried out the Switchback as a bike trailer last weekend, towing my two year-old and one year-old to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where the twins born premature are currently staying).
I found the set-up to be easy, and the handling to be excellent as a bike trailer. I also have no doubt that the Switchback will perform well as a running stroller (I have continued using the BOB to run with my daughters until my sons come home).
The flaw is that the passenger space is very limited for two children. While the instructions say that the passenger/cargo weight should not exceed 100 pounds, my two children combined weigh less than 70 pounds, and were squished together). Unfortunately, I did not purchase the stroller just to pick up groceries, but to carry any two of my young children.
In comparison, the BOB has much more room, although it cannot be used as a bike trailer (hopefully the BOB company which already makes excellent bike trailers for cargo will embrace the idea of a hybrid stroller).
For the return trip, I ended up putting the two year-old in my Co-Pilot Taxi bike seat and the one year-old in the Switchback which worked fine. However, my concern is being able to comfortably place the two year-old and one year-old in the Switchback and the twins in the BOB uaing the infant car seat adaptor).
I give it four stars, because it is certainly better than mediocre, and in almost every respect works very well. A wider cabin that holds comfortably at least two children who are each fifty pounds would be a tremendous improvement.

I ordered a switchback about 7 days before we were leaving for vacation. I was grateful it came in 3! However, I was a little concerned I wasn't going to have enough time to figure out how to use it before we left. I was wrong - really wrong!! I was able to unpack it from the box, set it up with the front wheel and brake, and have my kids strapped in, in less than 10 minutes! Travelling with it was a breeze as it folds up easily and is quite compact. On our vacation it was constantly used. We biked every morning and ran in the afternoons. It worked flawlessly and the time to convert between uses was minimal. The kids seemed very comfortable and it was easy to tow behind my bike. I would (and have) highly recommend the switchback to anyone looking for a great jogger / stroller / something to keep the kids happy in while mommy and daddy exercise - especially for the price. You simply can't find anything at this cost with its quality and versatility.
