Safe Trailering

Interested in biking with your kids, but unsure whether they are ready for a passenger trailer? A safe guideline for trailering is that your child is ready when she can sit up unassisted and hold her head steady under the weight of her bike helmet. Generally, this translates to an age of about a year old. If you're unsure about your child's neck stability, double check with your pediatrician.  Once you get the go ahead, you've got a 5 year window for cruisin. Around the age of six, most kids are too tall to fit safely within the roll cage of a trailer. So enjoy it while it lasts!
